Welcome to the American Legion, 9th District, Department of Texas.
The 9th District is made up of six counties (Austin, Brazoria, Fayette, Fort Bend, Galveston, and Waller). These counties are home to 24 American Legion Posts. The Headquarters of the District is the town of the Commander of the District.
Since it's charter in 1919, the American Legion has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining one of the 9th District's Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.
